Björn Pyll served for 14 years in various security agencies at the federal and the state level, among them as a member of the German Federal Police's tier one counter-terrorism unit GSG 9 and as an investigator at the State Criminal Investigation Office (LKA).
During his police career, he worked as an international police officer and advisor for the United Nations (UN) in Mali, as well as a special operations trainer for the state police of North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany.
After moving into the private sector, he worked as a security consultant and close protection specialist for various clients in the private, corporate and political sectors. Furthermore, he worked in the field of executive protection for an exposed ultra-high-net-worth family from Germany, where he was also the responsible instructor for personal protection tactics.
During the first months of the war in Ukraine (2022), he accompanied German journalists in the field as a media security advisor.
Björn joined SmartRiskSolutions as a full-time employee in 2023. Here he serves as Head of Executive Protection & Investigations.
Björn is a graduate of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Department of Federal Police and is fluent in English and French. German is his native language.
He is committed both in the professional and private spheres to more awareness in one's own actions and in the perception of the environment. He integrates this mental factor into modern personal protection concepts with passion and a spirit of innovation.
